they are both 800cc twin engines, the one labeled 800cc has a larger front wheel higher/more suspension travel and approx 80 bhp. the one labeled 650 is a lower ride, the 800cc engine is detuned by approx 10 bhp and approx £1000 (us$2000) cheaper, it's labeled 650 to replace the single cylinder 650 in the market!

You can't compare either the new F650GS or the F800GS to the old F650GS thumper. They're actually the same engine, the 650 was just out first.

Hey guys, just one question..I'm thinking about buying my first bike,and I'm so in love with the this one,the 800, still the 650 is the one I've been seeing most often out in the streets, could it be that the 650 is more reliable, like a better bike or is it that the 800 is newer so fewer people know about it? thanks.

Curious to know just how much trouble is the chain drive, being that the r1200gs is a shaft, but much heavier and bigger. Humm? What's the story

Jeg er interessert i å kjøpe meg samme sykkel. Kan du gi meg tips? Jeg kommer til å kjøre mellom trær på en plantasje og av og til jage villhester i elven med den. Da må jeg kjøre i en elv som er 50 cm dyp og har rullestein og meterlange alger på bunnen mens jeg holder følge med en hesteflokk. I helgene kommer jeg til å kjøre ut i ørkenen der det er ganske tøffe forhold. Så en gang i året drar jeg på langfart Chile-Bolivia-Peru. Tror du denne sykkelen duger til alt dette? Rene i Chile
