Now that i think about it i probably would have done the same if i was racing somebody. And it doesn't really scare me anymore. I want a 1000 now.

I know bikes don't really pull till about 8000rpms but on roads like this there aren't many place to pass so i'd rather downshift when the opportunity come. Also i wasn't trying to catch anything so i had no reason to need quick acceleration. Now that i think about it, i probably would have done the same thing if i was racing someone.

I dont know anything about bikes so im not gonna pretend like I do, but that guy in the M3 knows how to drive! Or maybe just really sticky tires... or maybe both?

seen it before and still say the guy on the R1 is too scaerd to unleash the whole furry of that machine. as seen on the vid the other guy no prob. hard on the tail of the beamer and then kinda like fuck off style ha ha!! R1 would have melted that car if it had another better driver. Period!

This thing shows it's teeth from 8k upwards. At 5k youll have about 30% of max power provided. What's the point of riding it at 30%??? You probably started with 600cc as your first bike and it still scares you. If you would start with 125cc and ride it's wheels off to get some results you wouldn't post this kind of comments. "Go slow to go fast" really works, but everyone want 600 as a first bike nowadays.

Why don't people stay in higher gears. I went to the Blue Ridge Parkway on a GSXR600 and 5th and 6th gear had enough power to keep the wheels planted around hard corners. I don't see a reason for keep a bike at 10000rpms in 2nd when 5000rpms in 5th can do the job. It just seems like unnecessary wear and tear. Maybe its because i've only been riding for a year and that was the first time i went to the mountains.

hhahaha are your stupid? you actually think a bmw could hold of an r1? :d and you think the r1 was giving full trottle? hahahaha he was doing like 6000 rpm at max, while it can go upto 12 000, you do the math
